Sausage Rolls and Style Goals: Pinterest and Greggs Calendar

At Candle & Bell we love creative and quirky ideas. So when Erica Edwards, a producer at creative agency That Lot, approached us to collaborate on a photoshoot for Pinterest and Greggs, we simple had to say YES!

This project combined two iconic brands in a way that was as creative as it was delicious—and we were thrilled to be part of it. The concept, developed by the talented team at That Lot, showcased Greggs’ mouthwatering menu in a visually stunning calendar that embodied the vibrant spirit of Pinterest. Our role was to bring this vision to life, ensuring every detail of the production reflected the energy and creativity these two brands represent.

The first port of call was finding locations that matched the brief and arranging access to them. That mean’t going on a location scout - and yes we took our very own office dog Scout along for the trip.

Scout out and about in Newcastle.

The shoot involved a packed schedule, as we had two days to photograph 16 models in 12 different locations across the city. We also had to factor in food, and thanks to the many Greggs stores in Newcastle we were able to get tasty and fresh food to feature in the photos. Overall it was an immense effort from all involved, especially photographer Meg Jepson, who had to work really quickly to get the perfect shot. The shoot had loads of fun props and stylistic details, and they look fantastic in the final shots.

The final calendar features some iconic locations around Newcastle, including Exhibition Park, The Quayside, Newcastle Castle, China Town and Central Arcade.

As a North East based company, we were particularly proud to work with Greggs, a hometown favourite that has become a staple of British culture. Being able to represent such a beloved brand in collaboration with Pinterest, a platform synonymous with inspiration, was an incredible opportunity.

This project was a true team effort, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We’re grateful to That Lot for trusting us with their vision and want to congratulate them on a superb calendar.
