New feature film in development with Jordan Film Fund

We’re pleased to announce that Soon We Will All Be History Here, a new feature film we’re developing with award winning writer / director Saeed Taji Farouky, has been awarded development funding by the Jordan Film Fund.

Each year the Royal Film Commission Jordan selects 26 film and television projects to receive development, production and post production support. Members of the selection jury included Jordanian producer Rula Nasser, Syrian director Mohammad Malas, Palestinian director Scandar Copti, Lebanese director Simone Al Habre, Sudanese director Amjad Abu Al Alaa and Palestinian director Salim Abu Jabal.

Candle & Bell has previously worked with Saeed on two short films: They Live in Forests, They Are Extremely Shy which was broadcast on Channel 4 in December 2016 and won a North East and Borders RTS Award, and Strange Cities Are Familiar, which was funded by the BFI and Arab Fund for Arts and Culture, and has screened at 20 festivals winning three awards.

Saeed is an experienced documentary filmmaker, and we’re incredibly proud to be working with him on his fiction film debut.
