In August Maria participated in the Amman International Film Festival, Jordan, as part of the on-going work to raise production finance for the film “Soon We Will All Be History Here” by Saeed Taji Farouky. Maria participated in the pitch competition for projects in development.

The festival team were great and organised the pitching prep and schedule brilliantly. It was an intense week but in the end the hard work paid off. We were awarded production equipment support as well as a distribution deal with MAD Distribution, one of the leading distributors in the Middle East and North Africa.

Earlier in the week the team were given news that the film had been awarded production finance by the Royal Film Commission of Jordan. This vital funding, alongside the awards from the Amman International Film Festival, bring us another step closer towards making this film in 2024.
