We’re proud to announce that lead producer at Candle & Bell, Maria Caruana Galizia has been selected for the prestigious BFI NETWORK and BAFTA Crew mentoring scheme. As part of the scheme, selected mentees are given bespoke mentoring from experienced filmmakers, to help them take the next step in their careers.

In addition to mentoring, mentees are also given career and wellbeing coaching as well as accreditation to key UK Film festivals. Maria is being mentored by BFI Vision Awardees Barry Crerar.

Maria said of the opportunity ‘I can hardly believe that I’ve been selected, and I’m extremely thankful to BAFTA for this opportunity. I’ve benefitted so much from being mentored by Ciara and Rosie, and having the chance to network and exchange ideas with other mentees. ‘
