Creativity & Well-being: A Start to 2022

A painter holds a paint brush in front of a canvas, a dancer is in a studio dancing and a filmmaker is on a film set next to a camera. It’s always an interesting conversation when I tell video production clients that a lot of film and video production doesn’t happen on a film set. It happens in the production office. It happens in quiet moments sipping coffee or while walking the dogs. Filmmakers are working, even when we’re not holding a camera.

There Are Lights premiere's at Leeds Film Festival

The film was shot in March 2021 on location in Whitby, North Yorkshire. Shot during lockdown due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the shoot was particularly challenging, so to premiere at such a prestigious festival feels even more rewarding than usual. Congratulations to all the cast and crew!

There Are Lights - new short film in pre-production

We’re excited to announce that we’ve officially begun pre-production on our upcoming short film ‘There Are Lights’. The film is written and directed by Yorkshire based filmmaker Nadia Emam. Caitlin Bramwell and Maria Caruana Galizia are producing the film. The film is being funded by the BFI NETWORK and private finance.

She Lives Alone selected for FRIGHTFEST

We’re proud to announce that She Lives Alone will be screening at this years FRIGHTFEST. The festival began in 2000, and has since gained the reputation for screening some of the very best horror films around.

She Lives Alone concludes filming

We spent last week filming “She Lives Alone” in Waskerely and Stanhope, County Durham. The film, written and directed by Lucy Rose, stared Rachel Teate in the role of Maud, Lauryn Elise in the role of Eleanor and Karen Littlejohn in the role of the Mother.

She Lives Alone - New short film with Lucy Rose

The film is set in rural Cumbria, where Lucy grew up, and tells the story of Maud, a young woman trying to free herself from her oppressive and cruel mother, and take control of her life. Lucy’s story is inspired by the ghost stories and landscape of her childhood.
