We’re pleased to announce that Metroland - a short film written and directed by Benjamin Bee and produced by Candle & Bell, will make its festival premiere at the Academy Award Qualifying Festival, Flickers Rhode Island International Film Festival.

The film stars Daniel John Williams, and Rachel Teate as siblings who take their recently deceased mother (played by Doreen Franklin) on one last family trip to a theme park.

The film was shot over the course of two days in Newcastle and South Shields. We would like to thank the team at Creative England iShorts, our crowdfunding backers for supporting the film. As well as our hard working cast and crew, and all our extras who showed up at 6am to ride the pirate ship!
