She Lives Alone selected for FRIGHTFEST

We’re proud to announce that She Lives Alone will be screening at this years FRIGHTFEST. The festival began in 2000, and has since gained the reputation for screening some of the very best horror films around.

She Lives Alone was written and directed by Lucy Rose. It stars Rachel Teate in the lead role of Maud. Living amidst the lonely and barren hills, Maud is content to provide and rely on solely upon herself. Still coming to terms with the death of her abusive mother, she refuses visitors and confines herself to her house.

When Maud’s prayer beads go missing, she is happy to dismiss the disappearance but as the strange happenings go from bad to worse, Maud is left with no choice but to confront the spirit hiding in the shadows of her home.

The film also features Lauryn Elise in the role of Eleanor, and Karen Littlejohn plays Maud’s mother.

The film was funded by the BFI NETWORK, with production taking place during February 2020. The film has also been selected for Out On Film, the Edinburgh Short Film Festival and the Prague International Film Festival.
